Friday Focus Morning Show – March 18

IMG_0099What does it take to become an author? Local writer Laurinda Wallace, who has just published her fourth book, gives some tips on making it in such a tough industry. We’ve also got lots of info on the events taking place across Cochise County this weekend, including Wild West Days in Tombstone, and the Easter Eggstravaganza at the Mall at Sierra Vista.

We had a fascinating and very informative discussion with Michael Hyatt, Agent in Charge of the Brian Terry Border Patrol Station in Naco, who gave us an insight into the challenges along the border and what life is like for our local agents on the front line.

IMG_0098In our third hour we were joined by Randy Anderson, the new CEO of Canyon Vista Medical Center, who talked about his priorities for local healthcare. CVMC board member and executive director of the  Arizona Regional Economic Development Center, Mignonne Hollis, also discussed the role of healthcare in terms of the local economy, and legislative challenges facing the medical industry.
