Friday Focus Morning Show – January 11, 2019

Is the ongoing federal government shutdown impacting our region? Why did the County decide to terminate its legal services contract with Bisbee? Should some veterans get a tax break and is the new minimum wage hurting the economy? These were just some of the topics discussed in our first hour this week. The always hot topic of economic development was the focus in the second hour when our guest was City of Sierra Vista economic development manager Tony Boone. In the third hour we learned about a new art exhibition featuring the work of acclaimed Cochise County artist Effie Anderson Smith, and a treasure hunt promoting the annual Cowboy Poets & Music Gathering. Finally, newly elected councilman William Benning joined us to talk about his vision for Sierra Vista.
