Here’s an updated post on our shows for the last three weeks, including an interview with Senator Jeff Flake, who gave his thoughts on the current Presidential election, and why he has chosen not to support Donald Trump. He also discussed other issues impacting the nation and our state.
We also had an interesting discussion with Christopher Bentley, who is the lead Park Ranger at Coronado National Memorial. Christopher told us about the park and its importance to the community, and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at what life is like as a ranger. He also talked about a special upcoming event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
Sept 9 – Due to technical issues, Pat Call’s microphone did not record during this morning’s shows, but you can still find out about all the events going on this weekend, including Oktoberfest, the Bisbee Blues Festival, and the Chamber’s Home & Business Expo. We were also joined by Sharon Gilman and Cheryl Cervantes from the Sierra Vista West Rotary Club who told us about an upcoming 5k run/walk coming up in October.
In our second hour, Amanda Baillie was joined by newly re-elected City of Sierra Vista Councilwoman Rachel Gray, who talked about the recent election, her focus areas for the future, council member trips, economic development, and more.
In our third hour host Tim Cervantes talked with Rebecca Dailous, of WaterWise, and Master Gardener Jan Groth about a project where members of the public can visit a a beautiful new garden and learn about the best plants to grow in our climate, as well as tips on saving water.
