We have some new people taking on important roles in our community. On last week’s show we were joined  by Kelly Glass, the Sierra Vista Unified School District Superintendent, followed by Canyon Vista Medical Center’s CEO Bob Gomes and Board of Trustees Chair Ruth Quinn. Find out about the many positive steps being taken to improve both organizations. And in the first hour we discussed the ongoing Naco sewage flow, changes to Vista transit fares, the new metal detecting ordinance in Sierra Vista, and voter registration.

Friday Focus Morning Show – September 14, 2018

The ongoing HAZMAT situation in Naco was a topic of discussion during last week’s show, along with the future of recycling in Cochise County, and plans by the BLM to manage the San Pedro River National Conservation Area. In the second hour our guest was Fry Fire District Chief Mark Savage, who talked about plans to ask voters to approve a $7m bond to help pay for its services.

City manager Chuck Potucek was our guest on last week’s Friday Focus Morning Show. He talked about the ongoing water issues, local economic development and the outlook for Sierra Vista.
