Will you support the Sierra Vista school district’s request for a school bond this November? It’s an important community issue that all local residents will be impacted by. Proponents of the bond issue, Peter Huisking and Bruce Dockter, joined us in our second hour to talk about why they believe local voters should say yes when the matter goes on the ballot this November.

We also have the details on the upcoming city council candidate forum, hosted by the Chamber, and taking place on Wednesday.

There are literally hundreds of cyber security jobs available on Fort Huachuca, but not enough qualified people to fill them. The University of Arizona South in Sierra Vista is hoping to fix that problem by offering a new cyber operations degree, starting this fall. Professor of Political Science, Linda Denno, dropped by to tell us all about it.

IMG_0167Did you know the Bureau of Land Management is proposing to remove the giant cottonwood tree west of the San Pedro House? This iconic tree is beloved by the community and a grassroots campaign has begun to try and save it – the BLM is citing safety reasons for its removal. Robert Weissler, President of the Friends of the San Pedro River, came by the studio to tell us all about it.
