In the mood for wine? Head on over to the Willcox Wine Festival this Saturday and then end your day at Movies In The Park at Veterans Memorial Park. We’ve got all the details on these and other events, as well as the Pet Symposium being hosted by New Frontier Animal Medical Center in Sierra Vista. New Frontier staff Julie Cushman, Sandy Savage, and Amanda Spencer joined us in the studio to tell us all about it.
In our second hour we had a very interesting and informative discussion with Joe Higgins, CEO of the new Leman Academy of Excellence, which will be opening its doors in Sierra Vista this August. Joe gave us a lot of information about how a charter school operates, the school’s philosophy and approach to education, as well as how parents can get more information.
If you’re worried about your risk of stroke then you won’t want to miss our discussion with Canyon Vista Medical Center on strokes and rehabilitation services. Our guests included Kristine Parsons, a nurse who works at the hospital who had a stroke last year. We were also joined by physical therapist Monica Michalski and stroke and trauma coordinator Deanna Richardson.
